I am passionate about my job as I see it as a vocation and have been involved in youth work for over 20 years, I am currently the Senior Practitioner North West Youth Services, this involves the leadership, co-ordination and delivery of targeted youth provision within the North West of Northern Ireland, involving over 40 youth organisations in the collaborative model of service delivery which is deployed on a clear value based with a range of agencies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. Previously I was the Senior Youth Worker in Long Tower Youth Centre, a large voluntary sector provider in the Triax area of Derry. I have over 20 years’ experience of youth work delivery with young . The role is strategic with a focus on the assessment of need; delivery of responsive youth services on the streets with the vulnerable and marginalised. A key factor is the delivery of services by developing bespoke interventions delivered in partnership with the District Council and the emergency services, to ensure effective communication, management of risk to support children young people and families.
